So here we are at the end of 2024. To be honest, I can hardly believe it. It feels like just yesterday that we were welcoming in 2024 and here we are within days of it wrapping up.
For me the holidays represent a time for restoration after a long year. At Roth IAMS we have a holiday shut down so all of our staff are off, which provides a unique opportunity to fully disconnect from work and focus on family, friends and myself.
In the days between Boxing Day (December 26) and New Years Day, I find that the “peace” that only really comes during the holidays, presents me with one the best opportunities to quiet my mind and just think. My thinking generally takes two forms, backwards and forwards.
In looking backwards at the year that is coming to an end I have the opportunity to reflect and dive deep into what worked, what didn’t and why for each. This reflection provides me with an opportunity to do some deep learning and take the main lessons away from my experience during the year.
Then it is time to shift from the rear-view mirror to looking out the front windshield once again. What do I want to achieve during the upcoming year? What would have to be true for me to do so? How do I want to feel on December 31 of the upcoming year?
To all of those that have joined me on this adventure through 2024, thank you for your time and I hope that we were able to add value to you. All the best this holiday season and I hope that you are able to rest, recharge and get ready for an amazing 2025.
Finally, I will let old Kris Kringle leave you with one final message for 2024…….
