Like many higher education institutions across the United States, the Coastal Operations team, and the University of Mississippi (USM Coastal) has struggled to build and maintain the momentum required to define and address its growing Deferred capital Renewal and Maintenance (DCRM) backlog.
As part of their Campus Capital Plan, Wilfrid Laurier University (Laurier) wanted to develop an Asset Management Plan (AMP) that addressed its buildings portfolio, consisting of 3.3 million sq. ft. across two campuses as well as the surface and subsurface infrastructure on both campus locations.
Following our successful project with the University of Saskatchewan, Roth IAMS was awarded a separate contract with the University of Regina (U of R), following a similar scope of work.Roth IAMS is providing BCAs for all on-campus buildings as well as a detailed Infrastructure Condition Assessment (ICA) for the surface and subsurface infrastructure across the campus.
To meet the Government of Ontario’s vision for a Barrier-free Accessible Ontario by 2025, and the Durham College (College) commitment to provide equal access for their students and staff, the College embarked on a comprehensive analysis of the barrier-free accessibility needs at each of their facilities, located at their Durham and Whitby campuses. With the above in mind, the College retained Roth IAMS to undertake a comprehensive barrier-free accessibility assessment (BAA) of their facilities.
For years the York Facilities Management Team recognized that it needed to increase its teams’ focus on Preventative Maintenance (PM) to reduce the costs and disruption associated with its Demand Maintenance needs. However, numerous internal false starts over the years were generally the result of a lack of capacity to build the initial momentum required to develop a sophisticated program. Finally in 2018, with support from its Board, York had the approved resources to partner with Roth IAMS to develop its PM program.
