PROJECT OVERVIEW
Roth IAMS undertook this project aimed at conducting Facility Condition Assessments (FCA) and Equipment Inventory & Tagging for Sheridan College. Spanning from July 2022 to July 2023, this endeavor sought to enhance Sheridan’s facility management.
PROJECT SCOPE
The project encompassed a wide array of tasks, including asset inventory, tagging, condition assessment, and risk evaluation across Sheridan’s diverse facilities. Roth IAMS diligently undertook project initiation, background research, and data updates. Field inspections were conducted meticulously, culminating in the development of asset hierarchy within Archibus, Sheridan’s Enterprise Asset Management System. The primary goal was to furnish Sheridan with a robust asset register to facilitate maintenance planning.
KEY DELIVERABLES & CONSTRAINTS
Roth IAMS navigated through 44 buildings, cataloging over 5,000 elements during the 2022 phase. This meticulous process involved on-site visits, data collection, and inventory management. The team devised preventative maintenance plans tailored for each element, ensuring comprehensive coverage. A notable constraint encountered was the complexity of documenting individual equipment components and establishing linkages across multiple factors, such as criticality and consequence of failure.
CONCLUSION
By collaborating closely with Sheridan College, Roth IAMS has not only delivered tangible results but has also laid the foundation for long-term operational success. Through meticulous planning, execution, and collaboration, this project has elevated Sheridan’s facility management practices to new heights, ensuring a sustainable and resilient infrastructure for years to come.
