Ridley College

Project Overview

Our project included Linear and Landscape assessments; detailed FCAs; and heritage building component assessments, using iPlan software. Although the buildings on-campus have not been designated as Heritage Buildings, Ridley expressed a desire to evaluate heritage considerations for several on-site buildings as part of its go-forward asset renewal program.

Scope and Objectives

Following the completion of the FICA, FCAPX has been collaborating with Ridley providing detailed investigation work and proposing renewal activities that are taking into account the heritage considerations with particular focus on Roofs, Eaves/Gutters and Entrances.

Key Deliverables and Constraints

Working collaboratively with Ridley and a Heritage Architect subconsultant, our recommendations for specific components (e.g., building envelope, windows, doors, etc.) were evaluated as replace-in-kind as well as providing options and cost surcharges associated with integrated heritage considerations into the program. Conclusions

All engineering and consulting services were provided by FCAPX staff. However, FCAPX partnered with 4tell Solutions Inc. to license the iPlan Capital Asset Management System (CAMS) as our reporting tool, and Ridley’s on-going asset management software.
